Self-initiated 2026
Xi Jinping’s widening purge of the PLA and its top brass was being compared to past Stalin’s similar purge that ultimately weakened Russia military by removing the accumulated wisdom. I thought of clearing a forest and losing all that wisdom and then also how it naturally created tension of who would be next.
Self-initiated 2026
As of early 2026, the U.S. has implemented sweeping, broad-based tariffs, raising the average import tariff rate. Despite the intent the US seemed to feel the effects of the tariffs more. Immediately I thought of the most American weapon being a gun and the idea of a comical backfire in the style of René Magritte’s 1929 surrealist painting "The Treachery of Images".
